Job Description
The Certified Nursing Assistant will perform those tasks outlined in the client’s plan of care. Clients served by this job classification may require extensive assistance defined as: the client being totally dependent or requiring weight bearing support more than half the time while performing part of an activity; meets one of the following: requires extensive assistance in more than two activities of daily living (mobility, eating, bathing, dressing, toileting and continence) or needs an aide to perform at least one task at the nurse aide II level or requires extensive assistance in more than one ADL and has a medical or cognitive impairment.

Requirements
• Ability to communicate both verbal and written.
• Capable of working responsibly with confidential information.
• Must be able to work independently.
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• NA 1 or NA II certification
• At least six months prior experience in either the acute, long term care or community based care setting with home care experience preferred
• Must be able to perform essential job functions according to the policies and procedures of Outer Banks Home Care
• Knowledge of home management
• Knowledge of the basic elements of nutrition and meal planning including special diets
• Knowledge of basic infection control
• Work may require physical exertion on a regular and recurring basis, such as driving, assisting client in activities, and light housekeeping. Regularly required to stand, sit, walk, talk, see and hear. Occasionally required to reach and lift.

Job Description
The Companion Sitter, under the supervision of the Staffing Coordinator, will perform non-medical support services which provide for the comfort, safety and general supervision of clients as well as home management services. Also provides companionship and socialization as needed. May provide care to the client in order to provide temporary relief to the family caregiver.

• Must be able to work independently.
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Successfully complete Outer Banks Home Care orientation program
• Some experience in community-based care setting preferred.
• Work may require physical exertion on a regular and recurring basis, such as driving, assisting client in activities, and light housekeeping. Regularly required to stand, sit, walk, talk, see and hear. Occasionally required to reach and lift.

Job Description
The duties of the In-Home Aide will include assistance with those exercises listed in the client’s plan of care and taught by a licensed health care practitioner; to provide or assist with personal care; assistance with mobility/ambulation; assistance with meals; assistance with self-administration of medications prescribed by a physician or other person authorized by the state to prescribe medication only; the performance of incidental household services essential to the client’s care at home; and other miscellaneous duties
